I am a native British English web copywriter, translator (ES>EN) and content manager based in Mallorca, Spain. My focus is on websites but I also write, translate and edit other marketing materials.

I create words that work for the web. That is, words that work online in a practical and technical sense, and that also work hard to help your website achieve its objectives and your users complete their tasks.

However you need my support—whether that’s alone, as one of the team, or as part of a larger editorial set-up, for example—your project will receive the same high level of care, professionalism and confidentiality.

Translation (ES>EN)

Drawing on more than 13 years’ experience working as a web copywriter and living in Spain, I started to offer translation in 2021 after completing an advanced translation course and other relevant training.

I hold a ‘Pass’ in the semi-specialised science and literary papers of the master’s level Diploma in Translation (ES>EN) from the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) in the UK.

Clients & sectors

I’ve written and translated web copy for agency and direct clients of all sizes from across Europe. They range from FTSE 250 companies and professional organisations to small businesses and NGOs.

My previous clients come from diverse sectors, such as green technologies, environment, language education, government services, construction, extreme sports, B2B services and tourism. For examples, see my portfolio.

Languages & skills

I maintain my native English, as well as my Spanish and Catalan, through daily interaction—both spoken and written—and by consuming different media, such as listening to the radio, reading the local paper and watching films.

I keep my web copywriting and translation knowledge up to date and develop additional skills in those areas with courses, blogs and books by industry experts. See my recent training and CPD.

Background & interests

I was born in Oxford and grew up in rural Wales. After achieving a first-class mechanical engineering degree at the University of Liverpool, I worked in public relations and corporate communications in London.

Following a move to Spain in 2008, I now live with my multilingual family in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains on the island of Mallorca. Whenever I can, I like to draw or to hit the trails for a run in the hills.
